Important Message

Department of Energy Resources (DOER) is reestablishing Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles (MOR-EV), making at least $27 million available per year in 2020 and 2021.

MOR-EV eligibility requirements effective January 1, 2020:

  • Only purchases and leases made on or after January 1, 2020 are eligible.
  • Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) with a sales price under $50,000 are eligible for a $2,500 rebate.
  • Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) with a sales price under $50,000 and an all-electric range of 25+ miles are eligible for a $1,500 rebate.
  • Zero-emission Motorcycles (ZEMs) will no longer be eligible.

Eligible Vehicles List - Vehicles purchased in 2019

The information listed below contains current rebate information for vehicle purchased after December 31, 2018. New criteria for the MOR-EV program starting on January 1, 2019 can be found here.

To qualify for a rebate, submit a MOR-EV application:

  1. Within 3 months of the purchase or lease date of a new vehicle with a purchase price that does not exceed $50,000
  2. After taking possession of the vehicle
  3. Rebates are subject to available funding and will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.

You are responsible for submitting the rebate application and all required documentation to CSE. Only vehicles purchased on or after June 18, 2014 are eligible. To get started, find your eligible vehicle and click “Apply Now.”
