I submitted my prequalification application recently, but I haven't received approval yet. I plan to purchase or lease my vehicle soon. Does my application have to be approved prior to purchasing or leasing the vehicle?

It depends on whether you wish to receive the rebate(s) at the time of purchase or lease. If you wish to qualify for the additional MOR-EV+ rebate adder or intend to purchase a used vehicle and have the MOR-EV Used rebate applied by the dealer at the point-of-sale, your prequalification application for one or both of these rebate offerings must be approved before purchasing or leasing the vehicle. Opting to purchase or lease your vehicle before your prequalification application is approved means foregoing the option to receive the rebate(s) at the dealership. In this case, you would need to apply for the rebate(s) after completing the purchase or lease.
